Welcome!

Welcome!

I provide editing and writing services to small and medium-sized businesses. The documents that I create take many forms: procedures, flowcharts, applications, checklists, press releases, postcards, website copy, etc. Whether you need to enhance communication with your employees or with your customers, I would love to help you achieve your goals.

I started editing in 2014 as an intern for a nonfiction children’s book author. I helped her research and prepare three manuscripts for publication, including So, You Want to Work with the Ancient and Recent Dead? and So, You Want to Be a Coder? Through that experience, I learned to research complex topics and explain them in clear language. That experience came in handy when I graduated from Portland State University and found work as an assessment specialist at a local tax office. For the two years that I worked there, I helped proofread letters and prepare their procedures manuals in between my other office duties. In January 2019, I quit that job to travel. I spent two months sleeping in a rental car in New Zealand and four months working as a barista at Glacier National Park. When I returned to Oregon, I started Trask Mountain Editing. My previous employers became my first clients, and I have since helped the Yamhill County Assessor’s Office develop procedures manuals for 6 programs in addition to dozens of letter templates, press releases, and other outreach material. I have also written press releases for a PR firm focused on the hospitality industry and prepared a photo directory for an online conference.

I would love to help you with your next project! If you are looking for an editor, email me at traskmountainediting@gmail.com.
